A primeira coisa que eu sugiro que você faça é : aceitar ( se você quiser) mais aceitar de um jeito que mostre que você não está dando muita bola pra ele, por exemplo :
ele : Então vamos sair um dia desses, eu estou arrependido....
você: eh ... então, eu tenho que ver se eu tenho tempo .
(E basicamente isso, mais cuidado pra não ficar enrolando de mais, porque se não ele pode desencanar. )
A segunda coisa que é importante saber: é
1) ele quer voltar por que ele se arrependeu de verdade
ou
2) é porque ele está na "seca".
Se o garoto for o caso número 1, ele com certeza vai correr atrás de você. Se ele for o caso número 2, ele pode até vir conversar com você falando coisas fofas pra amolecer o seu coração, mais se ele viu que ele não consegui te conquistar de primeira ele pode ficar estressado.
Você também pode perceber se ele é o caso número 1, quando ele vem te procurar na escola pra vim falar com você sobre os erros que ele cometeu durante a sua relação entre outros.
Ou se ele for o caso número 2, ele vai te ignorar na escola ( isso pode acontecer, não é certeza) .
Resumindo, nessas horas você tem que enrola o garoto ( na medida certa), para ver se ele corre atrás de você ou não .Assim você vai saber se deve sair com ele ou não :)

The fist thing that i would advice you to do is : accept ( only if you want to) but accept in a way that shows him, that you are not that intrested in going out with him. For example:
He: so, i was thinking, do you want to go out? I am feeling really bad , because i let you go.
You : so.... i need to se if i have time, and if i can go out with you.
( Basically it is this what you need to say , but be careful: Do not let the boy wait a long time, cause he can move on.)
The second thing that is important to know is:
1) If he wants to go out with you because he regrets what he has done.
or
2) He just wants to go out with you kiss you and leave you.
If the boy is case number 1, he will go after you. If the boy is case number 2, he can go and talk to you ( texting or talk) and tell you cute stuff, but if he realize that you did not "buy " his cheap talk, he can get angry.
You can also know if he is case number 1, if he goes up to you and talk to you during school lunch or break, and tell you about that he commited during you realtionship.
Or... if he is case number 2, he can ignore you at school.
Overall, in this situations you need to hold back the boy a bit , so that he can go after you (case number 1) or not (case number 2) . Like this you will know if you should or not go out with him :)
